At CrossFit Rancho Cucamonga we train incredibly hard; harder than most thought they were capable of. Everyday our athletes break down barriers and set new standards for themselves. Our training is intense, and it creates a bond among our members that can’t be faked or manufactured. Together we sweat, we bleed, we expose weaknesses and we get stronger…together. The community aspect of CFRC is our greatest strength. At CrossFit there are no ego’s, no room for bad attitudes. Those type of people just don’t last here. We are supportive, we are competitive, we are strong, we are humble, we are athletes….we are CrossFit.
We offer a 7,000 sq/ft facility located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. We specialize in coaching group and individual classes using the CrossFit methodology. CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, and running) executed at a high level of intensity – scaled for any fitness level. We are excited and eager to share the CrossFit experience with family, friends and our community.
Instead of rows of stationary bikes and weight machines, our facility is filled with pull-up bars, kettlebells, barbells, rowers and wide open space for squatting, running, jumping, climbing, lifting and throwing – moving our body the way it is supposed to move.
All of our workouts are made up of exercises that mimic movements performed in day-to-day life or sport. We focus on improving functional movements that are necessary and common in our daily activities, like picking up our kids or moving that bag of mulch from our trunk to the backyard.
At CrossFit, we never workout alone. Instead, we train with a small group of other athletes and one of our experienced, professional coaches. By working with a small group of 10 athletes or less we give the personal attention that can’t be found at a large gym. Our coaches design different, fun workouts everyday and help customize it to suit each individual’s fitness level. There are even organized competitions for those that like to compete.
All workouts are 45 minutes or less and guaranteed to make us work hard. Our workouts are designed to improve our capacity in ten recognized fitness domains: cardio-respiratory, endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy.
We strive to create a friendly and fun atmosphere that welcomes athletes from all walks of life. Our team is here to motivate and support you as you transform yourself mentally and physically.
CrossFit teaches 9 Foundational Movements. The mastery of these 9 movements correlate directly to the efficiency of the exercises performed during your workouts and transfer to the development of other skills you see often in WODs.They are:
Other movements/exercises include:
While this list may seem foreign or intimidating, please note that every one of them is modifiable and scalable to meet your skill level and needs.
You will feel successful and part of a community of athletes, many of whom you did NOT expect to be CrossFitters. You’ll have a better understanding of how classes are run and the method behind what we do. And it’s likely you will have learned new things, be a little bit “sore” and excited to come back for more.
No. Maximum benefits are derived from intensity and recovery. We offer a complete health and fitness program, and so we recommend that you take time to recover so that you perform your best at every session. This will prevent injury and backsliding from overtraining. You’ll be surprised to learn that the volume of training doesn’t reflect your fitness or progression. Talk to one of our coaches to choose the schedule that meets your specific goals–especially if you’re using CrossFit as your conditioning program for a specific sport.
CrossFit is about variance and adaptation. We “program” our workouts for General Physical Preparedness, or GPP. We don’t have leg days, back- and bi- days, or cardio days. We believe the body is a whole system, and strengthen it as a whole. Our coaches also give you basic education in diet and nutrition. We believe that nutrition is the foundation of health and fitness and know that how we feed our bodies determines how quickly we achieve the results we want.So for you, this means you’re a better runner than the best weightlifter, a better lifter than the best marathoner, and generally physically prepared for anything in your everyday life. Plus you’ll live in a healthy body with a strong, lean physique.
The best part is that every workout is lead by a qualified coach and you’re joined by like-minded people who want to be and feel better.
We always have a warm up session before the Workout of the Day. If you find yourself with a little extra time before or after class, feel free to start warming up on your own, practice skills, or just socialize. All we ask is that you come in ready to do some work!
No. Really. There is a common misconception that CrossFit is for elite athletes. The truth is that it is for everyone. Sure, we say that we are “forging elite fitness” and we are. This means that you start the journey where you are today. And, if you stay on our path it’s likely that you will get in to the best physical, emotional and mental shape of your life. Our community is comprised of competitive athletes, former athletes, working professionals, stay-at-home parents, people that had never stepped foot into a gym and people with physical ailments. Our program is the most efficient, most effective regimen for everyone. Allow us to get you into the best shape of your life.
No. New members participate in our “On-Ramp” program and then transition into any scheduled WOD they’d like. The beauty of CrossFit is that all exercises are based on movements that you already do–like squatting, pushing and pulling. Exercises are scaled to inspire the beginner and challenge the most elite athlete.
Your first workout at CrossFit Rancho Cucamonga will be a fun and efficient experience. Each class starts with a dynamic warm-up, then it’s skill training, instruction and movement standards for the WOD (workout of the day). When your coach says “3-2-1 Go!” the challenge begins and our community of athletes push them selves and encourage others to achieve elite fitness.Athletes that have completed “On-Ramp” with us or at another CrossFit Box may join scheduled WODs. For your first class, please arrive a few minutes early to meet our members, coaches and get to know our box.
